Planning Application Update
The Pewsey Community Land Trust Directors and Advisory Group met earlier this month to review progress on our planning application and the next steps for the project.
We are pleased to confirm that all key planning documents, updated drawings, heritage assessments and supporting information have now been submitted to Wiltshire Council. As you will see from the Wiltshire Council planning hub, the current proposals have reduced the overall heights of the development to be below those of the buildings opposite. We continue to work closely with our planning consultants and maintaining constructive dialogue with planning officers as the application progresses.
The Trust's objective remains unchanged: to deliver affordable homes and secure a valuable community asset that will remain in the ownership of the village for ever and so provide long-term benefits for local people.
We also recognise that many residents may not have heard much from us in recent months. The planning process has taken considerably longer than anticipated, but we are now increasing our communications through our website, newsletters and social media channels so that everyone can stay informed.
We would like to thank everyone who has taken the time to engage with the project, ask questions and share their views.
